VEOLIA PURCHASE CLASSIFICATION 2021
The Group has established a classification system for its purchases in order to identify the roles and responsibilities of the Group Procurement Department versus those of the VEOLIA Group Business Units (cf. Veolia Purchasing Classification Management Procedure / General Principles & Purchasing Classification Management).
This classification comprises 9 Domains, broken down into Purchasing categories.
For each Purchasing category a Management Responsibility
in terms of Purchasing Strategy has been defined between:
• Group Procurement Department (DAG),
and
• Business Unit (BU) Procurement Department.
The structure of the Purchasing Classification breaks down into a tree structure at 4 levels:
• Level 1 = Domain
• Level 2 = Subdomain
• Level 3 = Family
• Level 4 = Category
The spends must be assigned to level 4, Purchasing category.
Each BU must activate in its information system the level 4 categories that correspond to its activities.
