ABIGAIL KAY
PQE: 17 years
Abigail joined DJB in 2020 following a career at Clyde & Co in their Manchester and Dubai of ces. Abigail has extensive experience in acting for large national and international organisations in the leisure and retail sector such as Zara, B&Q, Hotel Chocolat, Five Guys and Joe & The Juice. This involved dealing with lease negotiations, acquisitions, disposals and all aspects of management across their real estate portfolios.
ANITA GARGYE
PQE: 21 years
Anita joined DJB in 2016 following a career at DWF. Anita has extensive commercial property experience, including advising on: the acquisition of commercial premises for Scottish Widows Pension Fund; a multi-million- pound sale of commercial premises for a utilities company; and negotiating over 50 Agreements for Lease, Leases and Licences on investment properties for Lancashire County Council’s pension property portfolio.
AMANDA FRENCH
PQE: 14 years
Amanda joined DJB in 2019 following a career at Womble Bond Dickinson and in-house at the BBC, Farrow & Ball, River Island and Folk2Folk. Amanda has extensive experience in acting for retailers, including numerous national household names with over £75m turnover. She was Head of Property Legal at two multinational retailers advising strategically on their global property portfolio.
BAV NYLAND
PQE: 10 years
Bav joined DJB in 2019 following a career at Gowling WLG. Bav’s career highlights include: being part of the team who advised St Modwen on a number of acquisitions and disposals nationwide; advising University Superannuation Scheme on lettings to retail tenants nationally; and advising Aviva Life & Pensions UK Limited on lettings to tenants at a number of their shopping centres.
ANDREW TAYLOR
PQE: 34 years
Andrew joined DJB in 2016 following a career at CMS Cameron McKenna. His career highlights include: acquisition, sales, leaseback and management of a portfolio of approximately 110 care homes for a private healthcare business, acting for the tenant in the letting of 80,000sqft of of ces and leading a team on the sale of a privately-owned motor dealership, including around 45 properties.
BEN FAIRHURST
PQE: 12 years
Ben joined DJB in 2016 following a career at Eversheds, McGrigors and Pinsent Masons. Ben is dual English-Australian quali ed and has particular expertise in telecommunications, notably advising Vodaphone and Telefonica’s JV company in the second largest UK telecommunications infrastructure deal of its time. Ben was also sole property lawyer to Bijou Brigitte, advising on the acquisition of retail space and advised DWP on several leasehold acquisitions.
