2020 sera une année placée principalement sous le signe du vert. Vert anglais, pour la toute nouvelle et très of cieuse BLUE TRAIN HISTORIC RACE première confrontation entre vélos muscu- laires et vélos électriques, entre « Gentlemen Cyclists », de Cannes à London dans les traces de la Bentley de 1930 de Woolf Barnato et de Dale Bourne en course avec le Train Bleu. Vert écossais aussi, puisqu’une deuxième édition de LA STEVENSON célèbrera en début d’automne le 142e anniversaire du « Voyage avec un âne dans les Cévennes » de Robert Louis Stevenson entre Le Puy et Alès. Vert british racing en n, comme le maillot du Chilkoot Cycle Club (comp- tant en France une centaine de Membres-Adhérents) pour la saison 2020, inspiré du maillot de 1960 de l’ancienne équipe profession- nelle Helyett Leroux.
2020 sera teintée également de quelques touches de rouge, avec la PIERRE NAVARD ou le voyage-hommage aux Résistants des Alpes de la seconde guerre mondiale entre Guillestre et Les Cha- pieux et la GRAVEL MONT BLANC qui devrait s’imposer comme le grand rendez-vous annuel des adeptes du « gravel alpin » et du bikepacking...
1999 - 2021
Se souvenir d’où l’on vient pour savoir vers où aller...
Rouge encore, mais aussi jaune, blanc et noir comme le GRAVEL RALLYE-RAID NÎMES-TARFAYA, véritable rallye cycliste de longue distance récemment présenté par Chilkoot et qui s’inscrira tout début janvier 2021, du Nord au Sud du Maroc, dans l’esprit d’aven- ture des toutes premières éditions du mythique rallye Paris-Dakar.
Plus tard, après un « Voyage en Italie » à vélo avec Giono, au terme de l’estive 2021, Chilkoot empruntera « LA ROUTO », ou la route des moutons et de la laine, sorte de transhumance gravel de Borgo San Dalmazzo à Florac-Trois-Rivières, au contact direct des bergers, des troupeaux de moutons et des manufacturiers de la laine, via le Col de Larche, les vallées de l’Ubaye et de la Durance, Salon- de-Provence, la plaine de la Crau, Arles et la Corniche des Cévennes.

2020 will also be tinged with a few touches of red, with the PIERRE NAVARD or the tribute trip to the Resistance members of the Alps from the Second World War between Guillestre and Les Chapieux and the GRAVEL MONT BLANC which should become the big annual meeting followers of “alpine gravel” and bikepacking...
1999 - 2021

Red again, and also yellow, white and black like the GRAVEL RALLYE-RAID NÎMES-TARFAYA, a real long distance cycling rally recently presented by Chilkoot and which will take place in early January 2021, from North to South Morocco, in the spirit of adventure of the very rst the legendary Paris-Dakar rally.
Later, after a “Trip to Italy” by bike with Giono, at the end of the summer of 2021, Chilkoot will take “LA ROUTO”, or the sheep and wool route, a sort of gravel transhumance from Borgo San Dalmazzo to Florac -Three-Rivers, in direct contact with shepherds, ocks of sheep and wool manufacturers, via the Col de Larche, the Ubaye and Durance valleys, Salon-de-Provence, the Crau plain, Arles and the Corniche des Cévennes.
