Rosier, is a family story intimately linked
to the village of Gordes.
WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
The ROSIER family history in Gordes began with grandfather Jo- seph, who discovered this hilltop village in the Vaucluse mountains after the Second World War. Then an architect in Marseille, he fell in love with these dry stone walls and was impressed by the light and the landscape. With the help of the village priest who played the role of real estate broker at the time, Joseph bought a plot of land on which he built a holiday home that would become the family’s new Provençal base.
His son Christian-Jacques would spend all the holidays of his childhood there. The village became his favourite playground : the scrubland, the bories (stone huts), the place and even the castle... a way of established solid roots in this landscape.
1970 – 1980 : SETTING-UP OF THE ESTATE AGENCY AND DEVELOPMENT OF ITS NETWORK
Christian-Jacques grew up in Gordes and settled there professio- nally with his wife Anne-Marie in 1970, creating the agency GORDES IMMOBILIER.
With his business acumen and the future, this precursor had an avant-garde vision of the potential of the region’s real estate market ! He con des: “I have visited more than 100 countries in the world, known artists, politicians, captains of industry among the most in uential on the planet. I have spent my life being the ambassador of Gordes!“
He dedicated himself entirely to putting his knowledge of the region and his training in architecture and law at the service of cus- tomers who have fallen in love with the Luberon and who wanted to nd the village house, the country farmhouse or even the Provencal country house of their dreams.
Christian-Jacques observed, listened... and it was only natural that, building on this rst experience in Gordes, he opened a new of ce in the village of Roussillon. Then came the opening of another of ce in Cavaillon, at the “doorway to the Luberon”.
Rosier, c’est d’abord
une histoire d’amour entre une famille et une region.
LÀ OÙ TOUT A COMMENCÉ
L’histoire familiale ROSIER à Gordes commence avec le grand-père Joseph, qui découvre ce bourg perché des monts du Vaucluse au lendemain de la Seconde Guerre Mondiale. Architecte à Marseille, il tombe littéralement amoureux de ses murs de pierres sèches, sa lumière et ses paysages. A l’époque, c’est le curé du village qui exerce le rôle d’agent immobilier, et Joseph acheta un terrain sur lequel il t construire une maison de vacances qui deviendra le nouvel ancrage provençal de la famille.
Son ls Christian-Jacques va y passer toutes les vacances de son enfance : ses cabanes ont pour décor la garrigue, les bories, la place ou encore le château. Le village devient son terrain de jeu favori, une façon de s’enraciner solidement dans ce paysage.
1970 - 1980 : CRÉATION DE L’AGENCE ET DÉVELOPPEMENT DU RÉSEAU
Il va grandir, se construire à Gordes, et s’y installe pro- fessionnellement avec son épouse Anne-Marie en 1970 en créant l’agence GORDES IMMOBILIER. Fort de son sens des af- faires et de l’avenir, ce précurseur a une vision avant-gardiste du potentiel du marché immobilier de la région. Il se con e : « J’ai visité plus de 100 pays dans le monde, connu les artistes, les hommes politiques, les capitaines d’industrie parmi les plus in uents de la pla- nète. J’ai passé ma vie à être l’ambassadeur de Gordes ! »
Il se dédie entièrement à mettre sa connaissance de la région et sa formation d’architecture et de droit au service de clients tombés amoureux du Luberon, et désireux d’y trouver la maison de village, le mas de campagne ou bien encore la bastide provençale de leurs rêves.
Christian-Jacques observe, écoute et c’est tout naturellement que, fort de cette première expérience à Gordes, il ouvre un nou- veau bureau dans le village de Roussillon. Puis un autre à Cavaillon, véritable « porte du Luberon ».
