Thursday Program: Advancing Asthma Care
Thursday, October 24
8:00 am – 5:30 pm
Separate Registration Fee • Admission by Ticket Only
(Participants must be registered for the General Annual Meeting to enroll in the Thursday Program.)
The Thursday Program will feature the latest developments in the science, diagnosis and therapeutics for asthma.
The day will start with sessions examining the latest in asthma diagnostics. Then, experts will provide an update into best practices for pediatric asthma.
During the lunch hour, there will be a sneak peak into the next Asthma Practice Parameter currently under development.
After lunch, we will transition to a session examining how best to tailor asthma care in the age of digital technology. The final didactic session will take a look into the future of asthma therapy.
Finally, the day will culminate with fun and spirited ProCon debates on hot topics that are relevant to every practicing allergist. In the first debate, experts will debate if biologics should be used as first line therapy; and in the second debate, two more experts will ponder having only one diagnostic test to choose. Would FeNO or spirometry be the better choice?
