                       WINTER MEDICINES INITIATIVE
With increasingly busy lives, cold winters and new cold & flu strains it’s no surprise that consumers are embracing self-medication to sooth the symptoms of minor illnesses. This has led to a healthy sales performance in the convenience channel where stores are perfectly placed to meet the needs of customers who are under the weather and don’t want to travel far to access medicines.
SHS GB is the only supplier in this channel who can offer a genuine category approach, representing several key winter medicine brands. Our Sales and Marketing team has been preparing for the cold and flu season with strategic distribution and display builds. Already 1,000 FSDUs are cited
in key retailers across the Convenience sector containing key Reckitt Benckiser & GSK brands, with secondary clip-strip displays featuring in 330 BP Stores. Coupled with displays in Cash & Carry depots this activity will drive brand awareness and availability during this key season.
TERRY’S
August marked the successful on boarding of the Terry’s Chocolate Orange brand within the SHS Sales & Marketing business.
The end to end process required a real team effort and demonstrated how our ‘SPIRIT’ values work in action. The input from Customer Services, Logistics, Finance, Demand Planning and Sales & Sales Support contributed to one of our best ever brand owner on-boarding - well done to everyone involved!
As we continue our marketing efforts this month, a peak period for the brand, YTD sales are already in excess of £25m! A staggering 12m Terry’s Chocolate Orange Balls have been shipped to date - that’s enough to run from Land’s End to John o’ Groats!
Critical to this success has been the engagement with our Multiples and ICC customers, resulting in impactful instore execution. Over 5,000 Terry’s FSDUs alone were distributed within the ICC channel.
