view.” It is important to note, however, that this position is supported by the
GCH Table, which indicates that SPL 226B (NOJ 393) was the vehicle entered at
Sebring in 1954, rather than SPL 224B (NOJ 391).8
Without conducting a forensic examination of the vehicle and the available
period photographs, and a scrupulous review of the homologation papers and
entrant’s forms for the 1954 race, it is impossible at this time to confirm or
contradict Jarick’s contention and the information contained in the GCH Table.
Doing so would require at least 10 to 20 additional hours of research that can be
performed should the circumstances dictate doing so.
