    Black and red is a very common colour combination but it is always very elegant.
In the 1930s French coachbuilders were in the top league with British and German firms. This design clearly shouts “French”, with the wrap of the front wings and sloping shape of the rear soft top. (STEVEN WOLF/VANTAGE MOTORWORKS)
French master model maker Jean-Paul Thévenet built this 1/43rd scale model in 1996 but in 2006 his “Pursuit of Excellence” prompted him to revisit the bonnet and wing lines.
Note the semaphore trafficators built in the scuttle side panels.
Attention to detail went so far as to reproduce the Marchal no.8 wing lamps with their split glasses.
