AppenDIx VI: porTFolIo oF cArs boDIeD by Kellner
Same car as the previous. Note the ornate carriage lamps that act as tasteful standouts on this clean design. (© Société des Bains de Mer) 1923 H6C, chassis 10651
H6C Boulogne chassis 10651, was ordered by the Maharajah of Alwar (he of the 15 Hispanos) and nished in 1923. The car remained in India until the 1960s where it was discovered in a decrepit state by Suchandra Roy. It was exported to the UK and later restored. The car survives today in the Arturo Keller collection.
The design of the two-seat coupé cabriolet body, the sweep and shape of the fenders, as well as the curvature of the rear deck and low windshield were very advanced for a 1923 design.
10651 when new, photographed in the courtyard at the Kellner premises, just before dispatch to India. Note the absence of the Cigogne hood ornament, the shikar hunting spotlights, and the coat of arms on the door. The car was already equipped with stoneguards for the Lucidus headlights, which most Hispanos for the Maharajah of Alwar were tted with. (Laurent Friry)
