“The event at St. Moritz is a very progressive one. It’s not
an old-storied show that has created a sort of ‘code of
conduct’ by which they govern themselves; they’re less
restrictive than other places. It’s a newer show that wants
to be elegant. The idea is not really to have a competition
of supercars, they’re looking to do something fun and a
bit less stuffy. The nature of the event is a bit younger
and less pretentious.
“I think all of these shows will change—Pebble started as
brand-new cars, then pre-war, and then they realized that
they need to have post-war cars. In many ways they’ve
been progressive, having a hot-rod class. They’re always
doing cool stuff. They’re open and eager to get a new,
younger audience there.”
