EMBERS Community Employment Services
The Community Employment Services Program (CES), funded through Corrections Canada, provides employment counseling services to conditionally released parolees. Since 2012, EMBERS has held the contract for the Vancouver West Parole Region to help facilitate parolees successful reintegration into the workforce and society. In 2020, EMBERS was awarded an additional CES program for the Fraser Valley starting in July. The services provide employment income, career counseling, job coaching, life skills counseling and referrals to community resources. Due to COVID health restrictions, face to face meetings with parolees were reduced. Despite this, EMBERS exceeded its expected targets.
