The surreal beauty of Bled’s glacial lake, island church and Alpine backdrop once beckoned medieval pilgrims, before the scenic town rose to fame as a favourite among European aristocrats. We explore dramatic Bled Castle before lunch in a local restaurant. A rowboat trip to the island Church of Mary the Queen situates us in the heart of incredibly romantic landscapes.
