ISS Academic Honesty Guidelines
In the case of misconduct during a formal DP examination or assessment students will be dealt with in accordance to the regulations laid out in the most current version of the IB document ‘General regulations: Diploma Programme’.
Expectations for Academic Honesty
All staff should be aware of the school’s Information Literacy Outcomes and actively promote these throughout the academic year within the Approaches to Teaching and Learning (ATL’s) at ISS.
In summary these expectations are that:

recognize the difference between their own work and that of others
are responsible at an age appropriate level for citing the sources of their

§ students will understand that in the case of misconduct it is their sole responsibility
§ students will have a full understanding of note taking, bibliography work and in-
text citing
§ students understand that when working in a group for any part of an assessment they should acknowledge others within that group and any written work must in their own words and not that of others
§ students will be aware of regulations for formal assessment and the consequences of non compliance with these regulations
Procedures in the event of breaches of the Academic Honesty
PYP
Students who are caught copying or breaching Academic Honesty will be reminded of their commitment to the 4 Be’s about be honest and responsible for their actions by their teacher and the Elementary Teacher Librarian.
