Trust in Leadership
Successfully balancing the needs of the business
and the needs of our people.
Successful leaders empower colleagues
to freely share their ideas and opinions in
an environment of mutual openness and trust. By actively encouraging feedback,
the business can gain valuable insight from fresh perspectives. Without trust, leaders risk negatively impacting team performance. Trust is a fundamental building block for cultivating successful relationships. Trust in Leadership is earned through recognition, positive actions, and realistic targets.
It allows colleagues to feel secure in their environment and confident in the shared goals of the business.
Areas of opportunity:
55% of you told us that you understand what the business plan is, to make us a better organisation. This is a 12% improvement on last year’s score but there is still room for improvement.
Next steps:
The leadership team are committed to ensuring all colleagues understand the businesses plan clearly, so, as a company, we are all focused on what will make us
a better organisation. This year we have conducted a number of colleague
“Town Halls” to improve understanding, but we are looking at a number of other initiatives to communicate awareness of our future plans.
