Mitchell familiys seperatly began their westward journie, they left all they had known behind. Each with wives and children, wagons filled with all their posessions and animals. Their journy began
with passage through the Cumberland Gap into Kentucky, leaving Virginia, North Carolina and Tennassee forever.
