 Addendum
After some years Mrs. Scott married Mr. Thomas Johnson, for whom the county of that name in Tennessee was called. She raised a family of chil- dren, all of whom married and became useful and respectable members of society. She lived to an advanced age, and her ashes now repose on the little hillock near the old blacksmith shop, not far from the base of Clinch mountain at Hayter’s Gap, in Russell county, Virginia.
D ~ Duff and Smith Family Cemetaries
At right is the Duff family cemetery located southwest of Sticklyvill in Lee County Virginia, on the Duff property, pictured on the next page. Joseph Duff and his wife Nancy Mitchell are here near Robert Duff and his wife Mary Powell Dickenson. Also Roberts mother Elizabeth Stewart Duff.
Below are two photographs of the Smith family cemetery located in Wilks County, North Carolina. This is the resting place of James Smith and his wife Elizabeth Hutcheson. Also is found the toombstone of a son Jo(n)mes Smith who lived only ten days following his birth.
Each of these cemeterys represent the historical record of my respective families for my father and mothers side. There location, one in Virginia the other North Carolina is in fact only about one hundred thirty miles apart.
