My grandmother is pictured as I rememmber her in a hand sewn dress and apren.
Her celler over flowed with many jars of peaches, Boisen- berrys and other stuff I don't recall, but all grown and caned by her. One of my favorates was her bottles of Concord grape juice.
Onother favorite memory was gathering eggs in the chicken coop.
Grandmother loved music particularly gospel on the ra- dio as she worked in the kitchen. Self taught, she played the piano by ear. I can still hear as she played and sang"Listen to The Mockingbird"
Later in life she began oil painting and I know that given time she would have become a very fine painter, she was al- ready an artist.
A loving, talented, hard working woman. She tought my grandfather who had only a third grade education. She raised my father and his two sisters, and she moulded me into who I've become today.
