Figure No.20 is a plotting of an absolute scotoma as seen in op- tic neuritis, advanced glaucoma, brain lesion, etc... The more acute the pathology, the more absolute the scotomata be- comes. Thus, after the patho- logical scotoma in the caecal and pericaecal area becomes abso- lute enough, no direction of movement of the test object will chart as a restriction even when chronic draining focal infection and its resultant toxemia do ex- ist. The Davidsen phenomenon of a restricted plotting of the physiological blind-spot is ob- scured in this rare instance of absolute scotoma.
