Being in the Backstage Crew is a chance for you to get invoved with the technical side of the Theatre, including lighting, sound, set, props and stage management. This crew is a vital part of the smooth running of school productions, in Drama, Dance and Music, and also involves learning about working backstage in the Theatre. Timings vary due to production dates - please sign up and speak to Mr Welton to find out more.

A chance for budding young actors to get involved. Girls will have lots of fun with drama games, exercises and work on developing improvisation skills. They will also work towards doing their Trinity and Guildhall group performance grades in the Summer Term.
shakespeare’s schools festival

The Shakespeare Schools Festival (SSF) is an opportunity to take part in the world’s largest youth drama festival. Auditions for SSF take place in the Summer Term of Lower 4. Rehearsal times vary and will be published at the start of the Autumn Term. Girls will be invited to audition for this club. Timings vary due to production dates.

Paired lessons - The classes are delivered by visiting peripatetic Speech & Drama specialists and the Department has an outstanding exam results record. These classes focus on the graded Trinity and Guildhall examinations which take place throughout the year. Paired lessons are one hour long and take place outside lesson time for Upper School students and during the school day for Lower and Middle School pupils.
