Facilities
Headington offers a superb range of facilities to day girls and boarders to support and enhance their learning – all set in 23 acres of beautiful gardens and playing fields.
THE THEATrE
The 240-seat Theatre is part of our arts complex and is home to the Drama Department. It is run by a professional team who provide expertise in set design and construction, lighting and sound design. As well as being a teaching resource, rehearsal and performance space, the Theatre at Headington plays host to a range of touring theatre companies offering music, drama, dance and monologue.
muSiC SCHOOl
Our state-of-the-art Music School is a worthy addition to Headington’s arts complex and has superb acoustics that inspire musicians of all abilities. It features whole-class teaching rooms and practice rooms for individuals and ensembles, custom-built instrument storage facilities and both indoor and outdoor performance spaces. The addition of a recording studio and an electronics studio is of particular appeal to those who wish to study Music Technology.
ArT SCHOOl
The Art Building, with its wonderful double-height entrance lobby and mezzanine gallery, provides a fitting environment to display our girls’ most visually creative work, complemented by four art studios and a darkroom for photography students.
SpOrTS
The School’s floodlit all-weather pitch provides our sportswomen with the practice space they need to take their game to the next level. Hockey and tennis practice and matches are held here during the day and into the evening, whatever the season. Our airy and light 25m swimming pool is used for lessons and competitions, as well as for recreation when the pool is available. The sports hall is the core all-weather venue for physical exercise, where students also have access to a fitness suite.
