When we talk about natural conditions that we experience; our correct state of mind; our mind that emerges; the phenomenon of the Trilaksana (the Three Characteristics of Beings) of corporeality, sensations, mind, or natural conditions. There are only a few natural conditions, but they are profound and intricate. But, what is special is our own state of mind. The mind that we develop; the mindfulness and concentration that we strengthen; the contemplation that becomes more re ned—all of these lead to the re nement of our own mind. We will see clearly how much our mind has changed. This is the key point.
Therefore, in terms of practicing dhamma, I consider all practitioners sitting here to be persons of wisdom who are focused and have a strong determination to practice meditation and vipassana. In principle, the practice of vipassana—you wake up in the morning, do walking meditation and sitting meditation alternately from morning until evening—from one meditation session (banlung) to another. Undertake walking and sitting meditations, focus on doing your duty seriously without concerns or worries. This is the way to develop yourselves; to control yourselves; to manage yourselves.
When managing your vipassana practice, try to observe one thing: What is the matter that disturbs us the most while we practice vipassana? This natural condition that emerges is called “a muddled (mind)”. The
