  An Evening of Partnerships
In addition to the many corporate partnerships that make
this evening possible (see back page of program), DCCF
maintains collaborations with local government officials,
enhancing DCCF’s understanding of the needs of each community within the county. One representative from each municipality is seated as an ex officio member of the DCCF Board of Directors, and all ex officios are voting members of the Board. The Board of Douglas County Commissioners (BOCC) also holds one ex officio seat on DCCF’s Board.
The three-member BOCC is the main policy-making body in the county, representing the interests of the citizens of Douglas County at local, state and national levels. The BOCC also provides leadership to County operations through the adoption of the annual budget.
DCCF works closely with the BOCC and County staff to be a conduit to the more than 600 nonprofit organizations in Douglas County. In addition, DCCF administers grant funding on behalf of the BOCC for the Philip S. Miller Charitable Trust, Douglas has HEART (Homeless Engagement Assistance and Resource Team) and the Region 12 Opioid Council, to name a few.
We appreciate the BOCC’s commitment of $200,000 in matching funds raised for this event, maximizing the impact of funding going toward the DCCF Community Emergency Relief Fund.
Community Emergency Relief Fund
The Community Emergency Relief Fund allows DCCF to provide financial assistance in times of emergency, ensuring first responders, nonprofit partners organizations and Douglas County residents have the tools and resources they need during a community crisis in a timely and efficient manner.
DCCF is the conduit between those in need and those able to provide assistance. You never have to figure out how you can help best; we do that work for you. We partner with vetted
organizations that provide front-line assistance and support in times of a community emergency and connect them with those impacted.
