COREV Electric Vehicle Programs
CORE is here to support the increasing number of electric vehicles on roads with two options for COREV, our residential EV charger program: COREV Charge,
a subscription service for members who would like to use a CORE-provided EV charger at home; and COREV Connect, which rewards participating members with an annual credit for connecting their home EV charger to CORE’s ChargePoint platform. We also maintain a network of Level 2 and 3 EV chargers across our service area as part of our COREV Community Charge program. All chargers are open to the general public but can be used at a discounted rate for CORE members enrolled in our ChargePoint driver group. Visit core.coop/electric-vehicles for more information.
CORE CLEAN Power Choice
The CORE CLEAN Power Choice program allows residential and commercial members to match up to 100% of their energy usage with renewable energy sources without the upfront investment of rooftop solar, wind turbines, or even home or business ownership. By enrolling in CLEAN Power Choice, members can claim credits of renewable energy on the grid and support renewable energy generation investment at their preferred level. Visit core.coop/clean-power-choice to learn more.
Rooftop Solar
If you are considering rooftop solar, CORE can provide important information that may help you make the right choices. Visit www.CORE.coop or call (800) 332-9540, ext. 5302. Once you select a rooftop solar company, CORE will work with them to get your system interconnected. *Per the Homes Association, solar installations must be reviewed and approved by the Design Review Committee.
Wildfire Mitigation
CORE works year-round to mitigate the risk of wildfire to its members, employees and distribution system. We have implemented a comprehensive wildfire mitigation plan to reduce the risk of equipment and facilities causing a wildfire, including cutting-edge technology solutions and aggressive inspection and vegetation management processes.
Economic Development
And as a member-owned, not-for-profit cooperative, CORE is not regulated to the extent of many other Colorado utilities. This gives maximum flexibility in tailoring energy solutions for potential new businesses and allows CORE to incentivize businesses to relocate to Douglas County and other parts of our 5,000-square-mile service area.
Community Outreach
CORE is committed to helping the many worthy causes and organizations that help power our members. We contribute to area schools, food banks and blood drives, and donate to local businesses and organizations.
