LONE TREE LIBRARY
RidgeGate’s newest addition to the Cultural District opened in the summer of 2016. The 25,000 square foot contemporary library offers more than double the space of the old library in Lone Tree. Notable features include multi-use community rooms, conference rooms, study areas, and cozy den with fireplace. Families with young children are taking advantage of the Storytime space. Visitors also enjoy the laptop borrowing station, relaxing on the broad front entry porch, and enjoying the views from any of the three terraces on the second floor.
Built in 2011, this dramatic LEED Certi ed venue continues to be a cultural cornerstone in RidgeGate. The Lone Tree Arts Center offers intimate concerts with headline performers, as well as international and national touring artists, traveling theatrical productions and original productions. The light- lled space also welcomes public speakers, special programming for seniors and young children, as well as sensory-friendly programming for individuals with a wide range of disabilities. You can rent space here for corporate, civic, private and community events.

RIDGEGATE UP CLOSE:
ELIZABETH MATTHEWS
Elizabeth Matthews, Executive Director for the Schweiger Ranch Foundation, works hard to activate, promote and improve historic Schweiger Ranch, on the east side of RidgeGate. As Matthews says, “Schweiger Ranch is the only historic ranch in Lone Tree. Schweiger Ranch is a very unique piece of history that is sitting right next to a highway, right next to an interchange! I see that as an opportunity to bring people in from Denver who wouldn’t be able to experience the ranch otherwise. Soon, people will even be able to take the light rail right to Schweiger Ranch!”
SCHWEIGER RANCH
You’re invited to visit this restored 38-acre homestead located in RidgeGate, southeast of I-25 and RidgeGate Parkway. Sch- weiger Ranch was established in 1874 by Austrian emigrants John, Joseph, and Jacob Schweiger. Restorations of the Ranch’s farmhouse and outbuildings are now complete. The iconic structure of the barn and silo, the quaint house on the prairie, granary, chicken coop, machine shed, cistern house, apple orchard, honey bees, cows and wildlife are all set in a magical place along a spring-fed creek. It’s a beautiful depiction of what settlers would have seen 100 years ago.
