The Gerth Family joined King of Glory in January 2015. By fall of that year, daughter Livia (then an 8th grader) was active in Confirmation and their son, Colton (then an 11th grader) joined the fun as well, by attending the Fall Retreat at Christikon. Though older brother Hunter was already at Montana State (Bozeman) studying finance, the Gerth family had found a place where they could learn and grow in faith. But only a year later, weeks after Livia was confirmed at KOG, the Gerth family began making a new home in Missoula prompted by a new job for Reed.
Moving was something that Reed had done a lot. Born in Brookings, SD then Confirmed in Glasgow, MT and later graduating from High School in Butte, MT, Reed saw it all as a big adventure.
Reed and Bridgit first met as kids when their fathers worked for the same company in Malta, MT. Years later they reconnected and got married after Bridgit completed her degree from the University of Mary in Bismark, ND. The "adventure" continued when only nine days after they were married, Bridgit and Reed moved to Costa Mesa, California. It was here where Bridgit first started working for Ford Credit, the same company that employed Reed.

Though they worked in separate offices, they enjoyed working together and learning the business. While in California they welcomed sons, Hunter and Colton, into the adventure they shared.
After a promotion for Reed, the family then moved to Colorado Springs, CO where Livia was born in 2002. Another promotion with Ford Credit brought them to Chicago. When Reed was offered the opportunity to transfer (yes, again!) to Detroit, this time he declined. And where did he land? Billings.
"We wanted to get back to Montana, closer to family," so they spent nine months apart in 2006 as Reed began a new adventure in wealth management in Billings. They didn't move again until 2016 (after Livia's Confirmation Milestone) and for awhile, the Gerths enjoyed the life Missoula offers.
Shoes quite smaller than their own sparked their return to Billings. "The grandkids," Reed laughs. "brought us back in 2022!" Bridgit smiles, "we really like Billings and we really love being a part of King of Glory." In all their adventures, Reed shares, "we couldn't find a church like this one. KOG feels like home."
