"See and Tell"
In the gospel of Luke it says that those who witnessed the healing of a sick man were afraid, but still went and told what they saw. Even the sick man himself is told by Jesus, "Return to your home, and declare how much God has done for you" (Luke 8:39).
"Stories come to me," Barb says humbly. "I see God at work in the public all the time. I hear stories of things that happened or didn't. It's not a coincidence. It's not an accident. Miracles happen all the time." Barb's Dad taught her that you make a connection with people by building a bridge and Barb has found that once you do that, the stories begin to flow. "Let them talk and see what comes up," Barb invites.
In 2012, due to Barb's ability to listen and "fearlessly capture life's blessings", one of her seniors, Erma Clapp, had the opportunity to tell her story on NBC Nightly News with Tom Brokow.

Additionally, Barb captured the story of the Founder of the Foster Grandparent Program so that his story might be preserved in the Library of Congress. Most recently, Barb sat down with her 95-year old mother, Bernice Jensen, using StoryCorps as a tool so that her story could be told.
Barb says she feels blessed "to be honored with the stories," and that "the stories I hear still stay with me." Barb's personal story includes receiving the Exceptional Woman Award from the City of Billings, meeting President Bill Clinton twice, being named Honorary Commander at Dover AFB for a year, being gifted three Star Quilts, and being honored with her own Pow-Wow. In a world that is always moving, it is easy to lose connection with people, Barb says, "but I believe that things can keep on going, we are not alone! So let someone talk and see what comes up because we all have a story to share."
Faith Stories
Would you be interested in telling your faith story? Perhaps your journey of faith and all its ups and downs might bless someone else? Are you gifted in listening? Can you help us collect the faith stories that make up our community of faith?
This fall, King of Glory hopes to begin "story-collecting" your memories of "how much God has done for you."
