A Quick Look at Boulder City, Nevada
Founded in 1931, Boulder City was established for the workers building Boulder Dam, later named Hoover Dam, located just 5 miles from the Historic Downtown.
Boulder City is the only municipality in the State of Nevada that prohibits gaming within its borders. It has 208 square miles of land and is the 10th largest city in the State of Nevada.
Boulder City owns it own water facility and its own electrical utility due to a longstanding agreement to buy power from Hoover Dam. Here is some statistical information describing Boulder City today.
