Celebrate community & country
during Freedom Fest, June 29-July 4
The Austin Area Chamber and its members will host the
33rd annual “celebration of community and country,” Freedom
Fest, June 29-July 4.
The calendar of events features two street dances, over 20
hours of live music, Independence Day parade, free “rides and
slides” for the kids, horse-drawn wagon rides, pony rides, arts
and crafts, sporting events and contests, and, of course, two
nights of fireworks. The Austin Symphony Orchestra and Com-
munity Band cap two days of live, musical entertainment on the
Bandshell stage, July 3rd and 4th.
Parade and exhibitor applications as well as registration
forms for sporting events remain available at the Chamber office
and online at www.austincoc.com. Chamber members and spon-
sors receive discounted rates for parade entries.

40 years and he has served as Master of Ceremonies for many
community events, including Freedom Fest.
The parade route will remain entirely along Main Street, this
year, heading south from 8th Avenue NW to Lafayette Park.
Parade unit numbers will be sent to all entries, the week of June
18.
Fireworks Raffle tickets, featuring $2900 in prizes and $60
in coupon savings, remain available at the Chamber and from
Chamber Ambassadors and Board members.
A complete list of all Freedom Fest events is included in this
edition of The Outlook and is also posted on the Chamber’s web-
