Seatruck sees immense potential for the UK and Irish economies to benefit from greater use of the Irish Sea as a key cargo route and by using the hub ports of Liverpool and Heysham. The future looks very bright for these ports with existing logistical strengths in these geographic areas and additional frequencies and capacity will improve Supply Chain Performance.
CILT would very much like to thank, Alistair Eagles CMILT, CEO of Seatruck Ferries and his Dublin-Based team for organising and hosting this event.
Further information on Seatruck can be found at: www.seatruckferries.com
As part of the Seatruck visit, our long serving Hon Treasurer Gerry McGuirk who recently stepped down to focus on other activities was honoured. Gerry has been involved with and been a member of the Eastern Section Committee for many years. Gerry works within the operations department of the Dublin Port Company and was presented with a letter of thanks and a small gift in appreciation of all his hard work. The Eastern Section Committee would like to thank Gerry once again for his hard work and dedication in the important role of Hon Treasurer.
