   Conclusion and Recommendations
Ireland needs to embrace the potential benefits of hydrogen fuel cell technology, and as an initial step the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport should consider the following recommendations:
1. The immediate establishment of a Hydrogen Ireland
Mobility Group (HIMG)
This group could act as a forum for facilitating information, learning and collaboration between automotive stakeholders, public organ- isations and other interested parties. The HIMG should have the following objectives;
3. Agreement on the roll-out of an Initial Hydrogen
Refuelling Infrastructure
For example, seven to eight stations with access to the following motorways;
• Cork-Dublin-Belfast (M3-M1) • Dublin-Galway (M4-M6)
• Dublin-Waterford (M9)
• Dublin – Limerick (M7)-(M8

Develop a strategy and roadmap for FCEV and Hydrogen Refuelling Stations (HRS) rollout to facilitate commercialisation
and market maturity of hydrogen transport in Ireland.
Establish contact with key stakeholders which could
provide and welcome the opportunity to work in partnership. This will allow for a greater understanding of hydrogen activ ities in the UK and European regions and of how existing future energy and hydrogen transport clusters could be developed.
Explore how the Irish Government can support the estab lishment of funded technology demo projects and eventual roll-out of hydrogen re-fuelling stations.
Coordinate a Public Awareness Campaign for hydrogen fuel cell technology.
2. Development of Public Private Partnership (PPP)
These PPP initiatives will allow for a sharing of the initial investment risk.
