Bob’s early career was spent in Planning and Marketing Management at Aer Lingus. Later he became Aer Arann General Manager and an international aviation business consultant. In recent years, Bob has worked in business consulting with RPA and Dublin Bus. He chaired the ES Student Awards Committee in 2012 and International President Visit Committee in 2013.
Ms. Janet Kavanagh CMILT
Chairperson of Education Committee
Janet Kavanagh is a member of the Institute having received her Diploma in 2012. With over 15 years experience in Sales & Marketing, Operations Excellence & Management, Janet is currently responsible for Purchasing & Stock Management at Lily O’Brien’s Chocolates with a special interest in Supply Chain Management & CSR.
Ms. Suzanne Murphy, BBus Hons, CMILT
Chairperson of Business Development Committee
Procurement professional experienced in Commercial Semi-State and Private Sector. Extensive tender and contract drafting experience and negotiating terms on high pro le projects for Dublin Bus and Bus Eireann. Specialties include Supply Chain, Digital Media Marketing and Public Procurement. An Honours Business Degree Graduate, with experience of lecturing for IIPMM. Previous employers include IBM and
Ipsen Pharmaceuticals.
Mr. Neil Mc Donnell CMILT
Chairman of the Eastern Section Committee
Neil McDonnell is currently the General Manager of the Freight Transport Association Ireland. He was previously the General Manager with Wincanton Ireland. He has spent over ten years in the third party logistics sector, initially in petroleum, where he managed distribution for Topaz Energy, Esso and others. Prior to that, Neil worked in the HSE, and in the Defence Forces. He has previously managed the Superquinn warehousing and distribution business in Blanchardstown. Neil was a past winner of the Eastern Section Innovator of the Year Award in 2009 for his paper entitled “Strategic food storage as a component part of national disaster planning”. Neil is the CILT Eastern Section Chairperson.
Ms. Gráinne Lynch CMILT
Chairperson of the Southern Section Committee
Gráinne Lynch CMILT is an engineer, an educator and a consultant devoted to supply chain and logistics innovation (BSc Computer Networking, MEng in Electronic Engineering, Diploma in Management from UCD Michael Smur t School of Business and Member of the Project Management Institute). Gráinne is currently responsible for deploying Trace & Trace in the pharmaceutical sector.
She lectures in the National Maritime College of Ireland/ Cork Institute of Technology as part of the Transport and Supply Chain Management degree. Gráinne is the Irish point of contact for the European research initiative the Alliance for Logistics Innovation through Collaboration in European and channels opportunities through her Consultancy Lynchpin Innovation.
Mr. Gerard O’Reilly CMILT

Gerard is a Partner in Crowe Horwath Bastow Charleton, Chartered Accountants with 30 years of experience working with businesses providing accounting, tax and advisory support. He has a particular interest in the logistics sector and has advised many companies on contract pricing, negotiation, improvement in ef ciency as well as overall business improvement for companies of all sizes. He has provided courses to industry bodies. He advises hi-tech start-ups on various University campus and is a member of the board of South Dublin Chamber as well as other voluntary roles in entrepreneurship and education.
Mr. Pat Mangan
Pat Mangan is a former Assistant Secretary in the Department of Transport with extensive experience in transport investment and  nance, public transport, road policy and railway safety. He has a particular interest in urban transport planning and oversaw the preparation of the Dublin Transport Initiative and A Platform for Change.
