We make sure our recruitment policy eliminates any form of discrimination against minority communities, instead fostering equal opportunities. Our commitments in this area are formally set out in the Diversity Charter signed by our senior management, with a view to cultivating a trust-based workplace environment that respects difference. Tangible examples of this approach can be seen in some of our targeted projects aimed at supporting staff, such as the Voltaire Project set up in previous years to support employees wanting to improve their spelling. We rely for our growth on promoting and supporting talented individuals, while making sure that merit and skills are balanced with our guiding principles of fairness and equality of opportunity. As well as striving to provide a level playing field, we also devote efforts to bringing along the next generation as they take their first steps into the professional world. We offer work experience placements to students in higher education at the end of their courses and provide internships (BTS sandwich courses) to help young people onto the career ladder through training to become beauty professionals. When new recruits join Biologique Recherche, we recognize that the early days of integrating into our company are an important stage in their career. To make sure they enjoy a smooth onboarding process and gain an effective introduction to the business, our HR department rolled out individualized induction pathways in 2020 that include induction mornings, a specially produced welcome booklet, and being assigned a mentor to help them find their feet within the company.
