CONCLUSION
This is EM’s 15th State of Biodiversity Report. The report has highlighted the state of biodiversity in the Municipality and most importantly it highlights the need for more action on the protection and management of biodiversity, which includes the need for long-term species data collection. Such action needs to consider ways for effective advocacy and communication on biodiversity, strengthening of partnerships internally and externally, and unlocking support for biodiversity stewardship. The next report will be for the 2023/2024 municipal financial year and will be produced in December 2024.
