* NOTE 1: First preference will be given to applicants who never studied previously at any other university. Other recommended subjects (not compulsory):Technology, History, Art,Technical Drawing, Geography, Physics. In addition to the requirements above, the top 300 applicants will be required to undergo a test for selection purposes. The weighted results from this test, in addition to their Trials Mathematics marks for those students yet to complete their NSC or the Mathematics results achieved in their Senior Certificate if already awarded will be used to determine offers of places in the programme based on a ranking of these combined results. Preference will be given to applicants placing Architecture at DUT as their 1st choice. This will also apply to the ranking of offers. The NSC subjects Mathematical Literacy and Technical Mathematics will NOT be accepted as a substitute for the NSC subject Mathematics. Meeting the minimum admission requirements does NOT guarantee selection.
