The project lost some indigenous trees due to drought
There is a lack of permanent members to oversee work Trespassing and illegal settlements in buffer zone
           Arson fires damage trees
The project does not yet generate funding, so is reliant on government or grant donor funds. Funds for project management have been secured from the Municipality
 The project is also in the process of securing additional water collection tanks, and another borehole, to alleviate water issues on site.
  Lack of staff, but the project has managed to appoint external consultants to oversee work.
Land ownership issues, that have been brought about primarily by political tensions. Local people had to be correctly informed as to the locality of property boundaries.
