and and the Faculty of of Accountancy at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Puncak Alam in Malaysia A A A A A mammoth “Thank You” to everyone involved in in this splendid event I I am highly delighted to to to be able to to to welcome you to to to the 7th ICGA event which comes at at an an an opportune time when issues associated with good governance and extreme accountability have become decisive pillars of national national and international development agendas This monumental event promises to coagulate the tripartite network of researchers practitioners and educators to to share practical experiences and and research results and and co-generate knowledge that are are required to curb the multifaceted challenges of governance and accountability worldwide This important event is taking place at at a a a a a a a a time when the world has become more interdependent because of globalization industrialization and the the brisk drive toward sustainable development It is is a a a a a a a a a valid proposition that the the innate socioeconomic challenges confronting a a a a a a a a society cannot be resolved by a a a a a a a a parochial mentality or the infatuation of a a a a a a a single discipline The 7th ICGA provides a a a a a a a leading interdisciplinary platform for for strengthening the open triad relationship of researchers practitioners and educators to to present innovative intelligence and and acquiescently engage to to contribute to to the socioeconomic challenges of governance and and accountability to improve the quality of human life I am fully swayed beyond expectations that discussions at at at at this event will generate structural and systemic approaches for ushering a a a a a a a a a a new trajectory of of good governance and accountability in in a a a a a a a a a a regime of of constant change This conference will allow participants to augment virtuous professional and collaborative opportunities for synergistic dividends I am delighted and instantaneously enthralled by the international roster of effulgent keynote speakers and presenters drawn across the globe who will deliberate on motifs of accounting and interconnected disciplines As I bring my foreword to its eclipse let me seize the opportunity to to to remind the effulgent presenters and and moderators to to to be cognizant of time slots and and avoid the the pitfalls of mismanaging time to to allow all all all presenters to to fruitfully engage with the the audience I hope that the the ICGA2022 intellectual festival will successfully explore the the deep diverse dynamic and contentious issues connected with with governance accountability and sustainability in in sync with with the the conference theme of “sustainable transformative performance” Professor Dr O O O O O O Olugbara
