Abstract
Financial literacy has an an an an an an important important effect on financial behaviour which is an an an an an an important important factor that plays a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a vital role in in in fin in in sound sound decision decision making making Financial literacy and sound sound financial decision decision making making determine not only the the financial financial behaviours of individuals but also their financial financial well-being This study aimed to determine the the influence of of financial financial financial literacy on on the the financial financial financial behaviour and financial financial financial decision making of of employees at a a a a a a a a a a a a tertiary education institution The population in in this study is is employees of of the Vaal University of of Technology who are employed by by the university with a a a a a total of 2072 employees The sample was determined by by using simple random sampling which obtained 205 samples Quantitative data data was used and and data data collection method in in this this study study is is is is is a a a a a a a a questionnaire The analytical tool in in this this study study is is is is is the descriptive analysis and Chi Square Data was processed by using the the SPSS program and Microsoft Excel The results showed the the overall financial literacy index was 0 693 which showed that most of of the respondents have a a a a a a a a high level of of financial financial literacy literacy This study concluded that high levels of financial financial literacy literacy has had a a a a a a a a a a positive influence on on the the the financial decision making of employees towards their their money management skills and has led to to their their ability to behave correctly KEYWORDS: Financial literacy financial financial behaviour and financial financial decision making Book of Abstracts 71
