Removal, recovery or write-off of current and previous year fruitless and wasteful expenditure
No fruitless and wasteful expenditure was condoned and removed. There has been no recovery of any fruitless and wasteful expenditure incurred in the current and prior years. No fruitless and wasteful expenditure was written off as the debt was not recognised in terms of GRAP. The expenditure is not deemed to be recoverable.

The officials responsible for the fruitless and wasteful expenditure have not been subjected to internal disciplinary procedures. Where weaknesses in internal control were identified, the appropriate control measures have been implemented. Resource constraints have been addressed and training has been provided to relevant officials.
