RESEARCH OUTPUT INDICATORS AND MEASUREMENT
The subsidy paid by the DHET for accredited research outputs (Table 4) increased from R127,512.56 in 2024 (for 2022 outputs) to R133,530.96 for 2025 (for 2023 outputs), without any change in the weighting formula for publication and graduation output. The headcount of graduating Master’s and doctoral candidates is provided in Table 5.
