   Functions of the Institutional
Forum
The meeting between the EXCO of the IF and the Registrar took the following resolutions:
1. The IF will not engage the staff members of the
University, as the IF only has a direct relationship with
Council and no other functionaries.
2. If the IF needs information on any matter that affects
the University, upon the resolution taken by the IF the Registrar will write an email to the relevant person and request information. That information will be discussed in the IF and then proper advice will be provided to Council.

The Council Meeting of June 2024 marked a significant milestone in the governance structure of the institution by approving the updated TOR for the IF. These updates were
made to align with the new DUT Statute, emphasising the need for adaptable governance frameworks that reflect contemporary challenges and objectives. By revising these terms, the forum aimed to foster a more inclusive and representative dialogue among diverse parties, enhancing its effectiveness in addressing institutional priorities.
The changes to the DUT Statute resulted in an altered composition of the IF, reshaping the dynamics of representation and participation. The new Statute emphasises the inclusion of various stakeholders, including underrepresented groups, which highlights the institution’s commitment to diversity and equitable participation. This shift not only underscores the institution’s recognition of varying perspectives but also aims to bring in fresh insights that can contribute to more sustainable decision-making.
As the IF adapts to these changes, its capacity to navigate the complexities of modern governance may be enhanced, ensuring that it remains responsive to the needs of its constituents while fulfilling its core objectives.
