Professor Oludayo Olugbara
Faculty of Accounting and Informatics
Oludayo O. Olugbara is the Executive Dean of the Faculty of Accounting & Informatics and MICT SETA 4IR Research Chair.
He has developed a special inclination towards computational methods in the specialized areas of machine learning, mobile computing, image processing, and exponential technology for the development of a smart society. He is engrossed in conducting applied research in the chosen areas, guiding postgraduate research projects, and stimulating students to acquire relevant computing skills at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He has successfully graduated over 250 Undergraduate degree students, 36 Masters degree students, 15
Doctorate students, and four postdoctoral fellows in Computer Science and Information Technology. He has so far published over 180 research papers in national and international journals, books, book chapters, and conference proceeding articles. He has attended numerous international conferences and workshops worldwide and chaired some technical sessions. He is a university scholar and the founder of the ICT and Society Niche Research Group at the University.
