status as a leading University of Technology. It is on this note that I must also commend our researchers who have through their selfless services ensured that the flag of the Durban University of Technology (DUT) keeps on flying as high as possible.
As the acting Deputy Vice-Chancellor: RIE, I look forward to engaging with you all in 2023 regarding your ideas, innovation and projects that will promote the research and innovation ambit at the university. Hence, you can rest assured of the continued support of the RIE division for your several quality-driven and innovative projects in the 2023 academic year and beyond. May I remind us that it is through your dedication to and your hardworking efforts for the DUT that we have continued to improve as an institution of higher learning. Hence, I implore you to kindly continue to play your important role in the successes that our institution has achieved in the past
years. It is essential that you carry on with the excellence you have brought to the institution through each of your different positions.
I would like to end by expressing my best wishes to our researchers and innovators for the next year with a view to extending our hard work and in return, achieve even more. I must also appreciate the team that have worked significantly to put this event together especially at the Research and Postgraduate Support Directorate as well as the Corporate Affairs division. I appreciate the effort you have all put into the planning of this event as without you, this event would not have been a success. I conclude by sincerely appreciating all of you for your many efforts and commitment.
