Dr Modupe Cecilia Mewomo
Department of Construction Management & Quantity Surveying
Faculty of Engineering and the Built Environment
Modupe Cecilia Mewomo is a Senior Lecturer and currently the acting Head of the Construction Management and Quantity Surveying Department at DUT.
Her research interest centres on Construction Contract Law, Dispute Resolution, and Construction Management. Recently, she has been involved in other areas of research such as Building Information Modelling, Smart Building, Green Building, and Sustainable Construction. She has participated in more than 10 conferences at both national and international levels and has authored and co-authored more than 20 DHET accredited journals, 25 conferences, and three book
chapters. She had about 20 years of teaching and industry experience where she mentors students and contributes to professional development. She has successfully graduated four Master’s students and currently supervising five Doctoral candidates and eight Master’s students. She is an active member of her professional body and also serves on various committees at departmental, faculty, and institutional levels.
