Professor Faizal Bux
Prof Bux is the Director of the IWWT and NRF-SARChI Chair holder in wastewater
treatment. He has ~30 years of experience in the field of water and wastewater treatment technology. He serves in an advisory capacity for NGO’s and local municipalities on water- related matters and pollution. He aims to provide solutions to local water-related challenges at the same time producing outputs that contribute to the overall body of knowledge in the water sector both locally and globally. He has built a substantive track record gaining national and international accolades.

Professor Sheena Kumari is the co- leader of the project and is responsible for coordination of the overall project activities.
Dr Isaac Dennis Amoah is a post- doctoral fellow at IWWT and is responsible for the sampling, wastewater processing, communicating with stakeholders and coordinates the report and manuscript writing.
