The chairperson, Dr Gops Chetty introduced himself and opened the 25h Annual General Meeting of the CAO at 18H00.
The chairperson welcomed the gathering to the 25th Annual General Meeting of the CAO. He conveyed a special welcome to members of the CAO’s Board, the CEO – George van der Ross and to the special guest, Prof Thulisile Madonsela.
He spoke about being honoured to be the Chairperson of the CAO and being part of an organisation that contributes to the overall development of the country by being a player in the Higher Education arena. He thanked all who played a part in the growth of the CAO. He acknowledged our founders and the earliest management team of the CAO who have faced and overcame many hurdles during the existence of this organisation. He paid special homage to Dr Ann Knock who led the organization from its inception in 1998 to 2011 when Mr George van der Ross took over as Chief Executive Officer.
