Despite the the the the the the the challenges faced during the the the the the the the 2022 entry cycle operationally the the the the CAO made great strides in in its strategic directive to meet the the the the company’s Vision and and Mission This was achieved by the the the the leadership and and and and guidance of of the the the the Executive and and and Senior Management teams and and and the the the the resilience of of staff who remained committed to the the organisation The cycle opened on 01 April 2021 for entry into the the 2022 academic year Due to to to to face-to-face engagements being disallowed at at the the the the opening of the the the the cycle the the the the marketing team had to to to to to be be more creative in in in in in their initiatives to to to to encourage learners to to to to apply early In addition to to to to embarking on on on on a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a rigorous social media campaign they engaged with with with District Offices to to to assist with with with the the distribution of application material to to schools in in in KZN and and engaged with with with LO Teachers and and Principals in in in workshops from June onwards Our attendance was well received and and we we we decided to attend attend career fairs and and engage with learners on on on on condition that all COVID regulations were adhered to to Our handbooks were distributed to to District Offices institutions libraries NGO’s and and and schools and and and learners who made individual requests Following our first cycle peak in in in in June for medical school applications the the July unrest unrest left us all feeling unsettled During the the the the days of unrest unrest most staff staff were unable to to come to to work as as they feared for for their lives We immediately put staff staff at at at ease by implementing a a a a a a a a a a work from home strategy for for key employees to continue with the the the vital daily activities This incident further cemented the the the business business requirement for a a a a a a a sound business business continuity plan to to ensure that our stakeholders could still be assured of of the the the high standard of of service they have come to to expect from the the CAO Our ICT Manager conducted a a a a a a a a a full assessment on on on software requirements for departments departments and developed a a a a a a a a a a a a a a contingency plan to to ensure that all departments departments within Operations would be able to to continue work in in in the event of any future unrests or or natural disasters that we may be faced with ANNUAL REPORT 2021/2022 (PART I)
