Acknowledgements
I would like to express my gratitude to my mentor, Professor Renitha Rampersad and the Durban University of Technology for enabling me to participate in the Space Science and Communication Navigation Surveillance (CNS) Research Center programme. Thanks to everyone who supported me and inspired “Mangwe the Space Boy”, my debut book that became a national and international success.
I want to thank Professor Martin Snow for editing this book, as well as the South African National Space Agency (SANSA), the National Earth Observation and Space Secretariat (NEOSS), the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Aerospace Systems and Research Institute (ASRI) for their collaborative efforts and unwavering support throughout this journey.
Gratitude to all the organisations, particularly the space agencies, who provided access to information and images: NASA, ROSCOSMOS, ISRO, ESA, NRF, SARAO, SpaceX, CNSA and others.
Thanks to the South African Space Technology for Sustainable Development Foundation and partners that continuously participate in our space programmes and STEM education.
Finally, I would like to thank my family, who selflessly allowed me to share this work of art and influence new patterns of behaviour of individuals, groups, and society toward Space science and innovation.
