Where the Earth blocks the Sun rays from partially/fully reaching the moon. Partial Eclipse = Moon within Earth’s Penumbra shadow.
Total Eclipse = Moon within Earth’s Umbra shadow.
Constellation
The constellation refers to groups of stars that can be seen at night depending on your location on Earth and the time of year. They are not real groups of stars, but optical illusions caused by different distances and angles. Constellations were named after objects, animals, and people long ago. Modern astronomers still use the term constellations for stars and meteor showers.
Your location on Earth also determines what stars and constellations you see, and how high they appear to rise in the sky. The Northern Hemisphere always points in a different direction from the Southern Hemisphere.
Some constellations are easy to see, like Orion, Ursa Major, and Scorpius, while others are faint or hidden by light pollution.
