can better align with the needs and expectations of all stakeholders, leading to more innovative and sustainable solutions. Furthermore, the study contributes to the broader academic discourse by highlighting the need for context-specific adaptations of existing theories and calling for future research to explore the interplay between stakeholder engagement, innovation, and project success in developing country contexts. Ultimately, this study reinforces the notion that meaningful stakeholder engagement is not just a best practice but a prerequisite for the successful and equitable implementation of PPPs in South Africa.
