Oppie Plaas Lapa is a rustic farm-style functions venue overlooking a grassy plain with a natural pan. The venue hosts weddings, conferences and parties, and has a lovely bonfire and braai area.

Utrecht Country Club offers various sports facilities, including a 9-hole golf course, six tennis courts, two bowling greens, a squash court and a huge swimming pool. There is a restaurant, sports bar and big hall for functions. It also has a rugby/soccer field with floodlights. Old Residency/Parsonage. Built for Reverend and Mrs HL Neethling in 1888, it houses Utrecht’s Museum. Now a national monument, it exhibits various artefacts from the Stone Age to the Victorian influences in Africa and the Utrecht area.
The Dutch Reformed Church. A national monument built in sandstone with oregon eaves and pews. The foundation stone was laid by General Piet Joubert, Commandant General of the ZAR. The Burger Monument of the second Anglo-Boer War stands in the church square.
Landdros, Pos en Telegraafkantoor. Built in 1892, this national monument and museum has period rooms and portrays the border dispute between the former Transvaal and Zululand.
Old Cemetery. The last resting place of Voortrekker and British soldiers, including Stephen Thornton Phillimore, the British Army Deputy Commissioner during the Anglo-Zulu War.
Anglican Church. Completed in 1899, the interior of this small church, which is built of sandstone, is an architectural attraction.
The Uys House: One of the oldest buildings in KwaZulu-Natal, back dating to 1856, it was the home of ‘Swart Dirk’ Uys, the first Commandant of Utrecht.
The Rothman and Shaw houses. Both national monuments, they are considered to be among the finest examples of Natal colonial architecture in rural KwaZulu-Natal.
